Case study 1: An Arizona oil well was reported to have a severe failure history. The history showed repeated failures, about every four months, due to paraffin and scale. Samples were analyzed, and a treatment plan was implemented. In 4+ years following, there has been one failure due to tubing split from rod ware.
Case study 2: A disposal facility in the San Juan Basin was experiencing high filter changes and excessive wellbore injection pressures, requiring acid stimulation. Tech went to and sampled the facility. The lab expedited samples, and a treatment plan was completed on the same day. We held a meeting the following morning and with the approval of engineering and production the treatment plan was rolled out. Filter changes went from 1-2 per day to once per month and in 4+ years, no acid stimulation treatments have been needed to maintain acceptable injection pressures.
Case study 3: A compressor unit in the field was experiencing excessive corrosion in coolers. Testing and inspection were performed. The cause of the repeated failures was identified, and a treatment plan was implemented. Since the treatment was implemented, the unit has not lost a cooler, and additional units were added with the same results. We have remained diligent in following up and testing to ensure future performance and results in the years to come.
Case Study 4: Compressor lube oil emulsion was causing inefficiency of gas scrubbers and discharge of compressor lube oil emulsion downstream of the facility. Emulsions were tested, and a breaker was selected. Treatment was implemented with instant results. The scrubber began scrubbing and dumping effectively, and the coalescing filter stopped plugging off. Downstream pressures decreased, which allowed the compressor unit to operate efficiently.
